Charles H. Johnson is a nationally regarded tourism and real estate consultant with more than 35 years’ experience in the general real estate, tourism strategy, hospitality, convention, and sports consulting fields. Prior to forming Johnson Consulting, Charles was Director of KPMG Peat Marwick’s Convention, Sports and Hospitality Consulting practice. He worked with Laventhol and Horwath’s real estate consulting division and as an employee at two real estate development firms. He has served on seven Urban Land Institute advisory panels related to major projects in Buffalo, New York, Clark Air Base in the Philippines, Oklahoma City, and several other communities.

Charles has worked on over 2,000 real estate and tourism development consulting assignments in the U.S. and abroad. He has participated in various aspects of real estate and hospitality development, which has allowed him to develop an extensive knowledge of the requirements for appropriate substantiation of funding and operations of a wide array of projects, ranging from convention facilities to hotels to mixed-use urban development projects. His widespread experience provides him with knowledge of industry best practices as well as case studies to draw from when analyzing market opportunities, feasibility and operating performance. This has earned him an international reputation among developers and real estate professionals.

Charles’ received his MBA Finance from Florida State University and his BA in Real Estate & Hospitality from Florida State University.
